RESPONDING TO A NEED
Our desire is to provide medical advice and care pertaining to people’s visual health as well as to bring the message of eternal life and healing in Jesus Christ. Those who are impacted spiritually and physically are being followed up by us or local partners to true spiritual and physical transformation in people’s lives.
Heal the eyes
To this day, a team of local ophthalmologists have made numerous consultations and performed many small eye surgeries. In 2022 we have started meeting the needs of cataract surgery. About 40 patients have had cataracts removed.
Donate EYEGLASSES
We collect, sort, and freely distribute used prescription glasses gathered in France by the « Association Jacques Vernaud ». The most frequent pathology is presbyopia (far-sightedness).
Reaching Isolated communities
To reach other communities with little or no access to eyecare, we will travel by car, boat or plane until we have our hospital boat.

OUR PROJECT
HEALING SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY
It was Jacques Vernaud’s dream to one day operate a hospital boat in order to minister to the spirit, soul and body of people living in remote areas along the Congo River and its tributaries.
We haven’t reached this goal yet, but we are moving forward!
